(Your name) has requested that I write a letter to support the coverage of her LifeStand Compact seated to standing power wheelchair.

(Your name) has been a gynecological patient of mine for (X) years. I have witnessed her multiple sclerosis symptoms worsen, and she has experienced loss of pelvic floor tone. She experiences continence problems as well.

The wheelchair she is requesting would give her the option to stand assisted. Standing would tighten her pelvic floor muscles and allow the bladder to assume a more physiological location.

Standing would help loosen the very tight lower extremity muscles of this patient, making examination more feasible.
